Newcomers to 180DegreeHealth are often lost as to what 180DegreeHealth is all about. If this is your first visit to 180, consider sticking around for a while. I think you’ll find it to be a very unique health entity with a truly revolutionary purpose, but first you must see what it’s all about.
180DegreeHealth is not a dogmatic health site touting an optimal human diet, laying out strict sets of rules to be obeyed for life, or sticking to one narrow-minded perspective – such as a low-fat diet, a vegetarian diet, a low-carb diet, Weston A. Price Foundation or Paleo dogma, and so on.
And its focus is far-reaching beyond just diet, but includes discussion about hypothyroidism, key hormones such as leptin, cortisol, and insulin, and a wide spectrum of health problems from autoimmune disease to mental illness to type 2 diabetes and how one might go about fixing the root of those problems. In other words, 180DegreeHealth is a full-scale, ongoing, and ever-evolving investigation into where disease of all kinds comes from that includes increasingly-refined speculation as to what the most reasonable and efficient means of returning to health might be.

Rather, it is a site for those who are intrigued by the topic of health and are excited by new and original thought on the subject. It is truly a community of people with a collection of ideas peering tirelessly into the constant struggle of health vs. disease. 180DegreeHealth does not parade around pretending to have all the answers to all things. It is simply looking for answers. In fact, one of the sayings that predominates at 180 is:
“If you aren’t confused by health and nutrition information, then you haven’t studied the subject long enough, or deeply enough.”
With that said, you can get a great introduction to 180 and a good feel for the foundation in which most beliefs stem from by reading the...
